Match Report

Sunday 28th October –Luton u13s 60 Harlow u13s 0 – Friendly

Today we travelled to Luton for a friendly arranged on the fixture exchange this week as there was a problem with the fixture with Stevenage.
The hope was that we could leave the disappointment of last week behind us and move on. Unfortunately something was lacking in our approach, desire and commitment this week which showed up a Luton started hard scoring quickly.
This was followed up with tries wide, through the middle and up front. We have some serious work to do with our tackle confidence in training on Wednesday.

Half time: 40-0 (8 tries to 0)

Once again we were in a position where if we didn’t start to play and compete, then the game would be finished early. As Harlow didn’t appear to want to play today Luton ran in 4 tries and the whistle was blown for full time.

Second half score: 20-0 (4 tries to 0)

So the elusive first win on the big pitch waits another week,
Next week we travel to Dagenham chasing some improvement, technique can be coached but next week we will be asking for raw guts to be on display and an uplift in the effort and desire.
Once again, there is always next week to put right the wrongs of today and last week and to find the passion we showed in the second half at Rochford and the game at Thurrock.

Final score: 60-0 (12 tries to 0)
