Seniors Presentation Night

Harlow Rugby celebrated their final season at Ram Gorse with three senior men’s squads winning their respective leagues at their annual “Club Awards and Senior Presentation Evening” on Saturday 20th May.

Harlow 1st XV won the RFU London 3 North East League, progressed to the quarter-finals of the RFU Senior Vase, and lost in the semi-finals of the Essex Intermediate Cup.

Squad awards were awarded to:

  • Most Improved Player: Jack Christy
  • Player’s Player:  Jack Christy
  • Players of the Year: Andrew Tarsey & Scott Whitby

Harlow Rams won The Shepherd Neame Essex Merit Table 3, made it to the semi-finals of the Essex 2nd XV Cup and were Runners-Up in the Essex Merit Table 3 Cup.

Squad awards were awarded to:

  • Most Improved Player:  Daniel McCarthy
  • Player’s Player: Dean Read
  • Player of the Year: Chay Clark

Harlow Saints won The Shepherd Neame Essex Merit Table 6 and also the Essex Merit Table 6 Cup.

Squad awards were awarded to:

  • Most Improved Player: Ryan Wilson
  • Player’s Player: Jon Gagg
  • Player of the Year: Paul Crabb

Harlow Ladies joined the celebrations and awarded the following honours:

  • Most Improved Player: Rosie Tamayo
  • Player’s Player: Becky Bryant
  • Player of the Year: Emily Wooller

Club Awards were also presented to Volunteers in recognition of outstanding contributions throughout the past season:

  • The Locke Award, for services to the Minis Section: Nicholas Jones
  • The Spooner Award, for services to the Youth Section: Tony Hills
  • The Hurley Award, for services to Rugby: Jake Watts
  • The President’s Award, for services to the Executive: Nina Holmes
  • The Chairman’s Award, for services to the Club: Jenny Colbert

A three-course meal was supplied by The Rams Kitchen, and local band “Hit Parade” provided live music for the rest of the evening.
