2020/21 Volunteer Information Pack

2020/21 Volunteer Information Pack

In preparation for our ‘return to rugby’ and in tandem with National Volunteer Week – June 1st to 7th 2020 we thought this would be a good opportunity to share a ‘copy’ of the long awaited volunteers information pack Harlow RUFC Volunteer Information Pack – June 2020 which has now been approved and signed off by the Club; Rugby and Executive Committees.

We hope that amongst other things this pack will give current and any ‘new’ volunteers full guidance and instructions on the club structure, management, roles, policies and what to do next!

Please note the RFU had implemented a temporary suspension of DBS checks whilst the government’s current social distancing measures remain in force. This decision had been made in light of the cessation of all rugby activity and the difficulties inherent in an online ID verification system that will require in-person checks to be completed at some point in the future. The pausing of applications in rugby enabled the DBS Service to concentrate on dealing with the thousands of disclosure requests that were being made by returning keyworkers, NHS volunteers etc.,

As and when the system allows and we further plan our ‘return to rugby’ all those volunteers who’s DBS check may have expired will be contacted to renew as a matter of priority! The pack will also be updated when we know what courses are available for the 2020/21 Season.

Finally, we do have a number of volunteer positions that are currently open so if you or someone you know might be interested please contact me at rugby@harlowrugby.club or our Vice-Chairman & Volunteer Co-Ordinator, Stephen Foreman at vice-chairman@harlowrugby.club .
