Club Charity – Harlow Foodbank

Why the community needs us

Harlow has become the 2nd most deprived authority in Essex and ranked 95th most deprived local authority in England, which puts it in the most deprived 30%. 24.4% children (5,793) live below the poverty line, 9.4% of the population are unemployed with 4.5 Job Seekers Allowance claimants for every unfilled job.

A wide range of people benefit from the work of MRCT from families, children, the homeless and young people who use the Foodbank to adults who use our day services with Maybury Open Door.
