Paul Eynon

Paul Eynon

Head Coach, Coaching Coordinator, Rams Podcast Host

Some say, if you cut him in half you just see red and green, all we know is his nickname Onion has a dual meaning. There are many layers to him, and he can make you cry. (Whether it is laughter or sadness, we aren’t sure). We also think he got the name because no one could say Eynon and the rest is just for show

Paul had played for Harlow since he was in the youth section back in the late 80s early 90s. He progressed to play for the 1st XV for nearly 20 years captaining the side for a number of seasons. He then moved into coaching and has coached from under 7s to 16s following his oldest son Owen through the age grades. Paul will coach the under 16s for 2022/23 spending time with his youngest son Rhys for the final year of youth rugby.

Paul says “Coaching is great, but you will never replace playing, play as long as you can. Then coach and share what you know while learning more you wished you knew when you were playing.“

I volunteer because I love giving back to the players and seeing them develop themselves progressing their rugby to the next level.
