Darren Brown Memorial Cup

Darren Brown Memorial Cup Match
Annual Charity Vets Match v Bishops Stortford
In aid of St Clare’s Hospice
Friday 15th September
Latton Park
KO 7.30pm

This annual event takes place on Friday 15th September at Latton Park to raise money for St Clare’s Hospice.

St Clare’s Hospice cared for Darren, and still supports his wife and children, inspiring local rugby players to host a memorial match in Darren’s memory and honour.

There will be opportunities to donate to St Clare’s Hospice throughout the evening via collection buckets and an auction.

There will be various prizes auctioned off on the evening starting with a brilliant offer from Event Organiser David Stradling’s personal friend and ex Wasps colleague Ben Gotting. He is Co-Owner of The Foundry Gym in London (Vauxhall and Old Street) and has kindly donated a months membership at this exclusive gym. See below for the details along with what the cost really should be! This usually retails at £349 so assuming we get roughly what it is worth, that should be some good money towards SCH charity. The Foundry were voted as “one of the best gyms in the world” by Men’s Health in their January/February 2017 edition. We also have some generous gifts from our own stalwart Jonathan Hewlett who has kindly donated some exciting new products from  Diesel!

In addition we have an exclusive signed All Blacks shirt from their 2012 tour. Full list of signatures are as follows:

The great Richie McCaw, Dan Carter, Ali Williams, Israel Dagg. Aaron Smith, Conrad Smith, Wyatt Crocket, Ben Smith, Hika Elliot, Beauden Barrett, Brodie Retilic, Kevin Mealaumu, Cory James and Piri Weepu.

The auction of the signed shirt starts today… starting bid price for this item is £200. If you wish to make an official bid, contact David Stradling at david_stradling@hotmail.com or PM David on Facebook.

14/09/17 07:20am UPDATE – David has received a confirmed offer of £300 for the All Blacks Shirt
