Harlow make history in last ever game at Rams Gorse

Harlow were too good for Lowestoft and Yarmouth as they scored over 150 points in a one-sided affair on Saturday.

With a large crowd in attendance to celebrate the last ever 1st XV game at Rams Gorse, the red men started at full throttle and scored the first of their 23 tries after three minutes.

Playing up the hill, Harlow scored 8 first half tries. Danny Smith, making his return to the starting line-up following an injury, converted seven of them to make the halftime score 54-0.

The second half was entirely one way traffic. Ross Stalley, McGlone, Tarsey and Whitby all completed their hatricks as Harlow ran in 15 tries. Danny Smith kicked 18 conversion to end up with 41 points in total.

The final score was 151-0.

The win leaves Harlow full of confidence as they approach their last two fixtures. They know that if they win them both they will win the league.

Speaking after the game coach Lee Harron said: “I’m delighted with the result. The boys maintained concentration throughout and it was good to put on a show for the old boys who came to watch.”
