Top of the table Harlow visited bottom of the table Lowestoft & Yarmouth.

Harlow went quickly into the lead with Danny Smith converting a penalty in the first 5 minutes. The home side surprised Harlow with their full back brushing aside 2 Harlow tackles to score under the posts.The conversion missed but they had a 5 – 3 lead. Harlow replied with Smith converting his second penalty.

Harlow started to take control with 2 tries, one from Ross Stalley and the second from Tarsey; both converted by Smith for a 5 – 20 lead. The 1st half finished with McGlone scrum half taking a quick penalty 10 metres from the Lowestoft line with a quick pass to Claridge who scores. It was Converted by Smith for a 5 – 27 score line at half time.

Within 4 minutes into the second half from a line out Harlow forwards produced an unstoppable drive Bowering finishing the move with a try 5 – 32. Lowestoft don’t give up and come back with 2 tries taking the score to 17 – 32.

Harlow responded with two of their own, the first from Smith and the second from Whitby. Smith converted both taking the score to 17 – 46. Five minutes later Smith added an excellent try kicking through and collecting score. He added the conversion to his own try making the score 22 – 53. Claridge rounded off the scoring with the final try and Smith added to conversion to make it 22 – 60 at the final whistle.

Harlow now head the division by 3 points. This weekend Harlow are at home to Upminster in the Essex Intermediate cup. The a week later they return to league duty with a home match against East London. The Londoners are in 4th place and have recorded some good wins in recent weeks. They will present Harlow with tough challenge as they defend their top place in the league.
