JOCA LAUNCH

JOCA – JUST ONE CLICK AWAY – A NATIONALLY RECOGNISED SERVICE TO HELP MEMBERS.

A rugby club is not somewhere where mental health is often seen as a priority.
However, that attitude can mean members who are struggling feel even more isolated and alone.
Daily life can be tough, and the challenges that we all face can sometimes place a large volume of pressure on us. We feel that it is imperative that as a Club, we not only support each other on the pitch but off it as well.
We are proud to launch a club-wide Welfare Committee, ‘JOCA – Just One Click Away’ to help our members through the tough times, as well as be a part of the good.
We are aware that there are many situations in life that you may need some guidance or a friendly ear and could need some advice. Harlow RFC has a diverse membership, and the JOCA Welfare Committee will provide a network for when you need help.
To begin with, JOCA has a confidential support email address that you can discretely contact should you be in a crisis; either emotional, financial or welfare situation where you are unsure where to turn.
The member of the JOCA committee can offer you support and help you to identify a range of support services for your circumstances.
It is important that as a club, we are here to support each other. That we encourage our teammates and fellow members to share their problems and worries so that we can share the load during tough times. And if you feel you are unable to talk to your friends and family, then contact the JOCA Committee which is a safe, confidential first port of call for support and information when we need it most.
