Move Update: 20 March

We are now 62 Days away from our practical completion and only 88 Days to Official Opening.

Over 50 people now working on site across all areas, since the last report:

  • Work started on planting.
  • Path extended to Pitch 3.
  • Under floor heating in.
  • Roof and Guttering complete.
  • Work started on overflow car park.
  • Whiterock installation in changing rooms has started.
  • All Floors now screeded.
  • Gas and Electricity meters installed.
  • Major construction of RAMP underway.

The key elements for completion next 2 weeks:

  • UKPN power connection.
  • Ramp.
  • Gabion walls.
  • Cladding.
  • Windows.
  • Timber Decking.
  • Suspended ceilings.
  • External Staircase.

15th March Project Meeting Update (Week 37):

  • Overall Progress, 65% against a projected target of 64%
  • Completion Date, Huttons are still hand over date of the 22nd May, but a lot of decoration in last two weeks.
  • Car Park Bollards, Removable Bollards to allow access to Terrace, protection collars removed from spec. both agreed.
  • CCTV, need supplier to agree to domed cameras, agreed by all.
  • Thames Water, approval to proceed has been received, work to commence 20th March.
  • HCL have produced bar construction plans.
  • Issue with UKPN as titles deeds as still registered as HCA not HDC. HDC To chase and give UKPN approval.
  • DCAD AV plan agreed.
  • Changing Room 1, there is an issue with the positioning of the heat exchanger, which means the roof needs to e lowered by 50mm, this was agreed by all.
  • Cellar Layout – AB to arrange meeting to go through cellar.
  • Kitchen – The Club needs to appoint a kitchen designer to produce the detailed plans required, and a kitchen installer to install the new equipment.
  • Kitchen, it was agreed to install stainless steel to wall below the hood.
  • Sewers,Thames water have agreed connection to sewer works.
  • Doors in storage areas to be upgraded to meet fire rating.
  • Windows – Club to get Club Logo added to fenestration. on 4 doors and 1 large window on west side of members bar.
  • Pitches, 1st XV pitch 60% growth, 2nd Pitch and Minis 40% growth. Work restarts in earnest on Tuesday 17th April.
  • Service Contracts to be agreed.

Other Actions:

  • Grounds Maintenance, Club has meet with HTS and listed services, quote expected shortly.
  • AB/AP to visit OA’s to speak to Grounds Manager.
  • AB met with demolition company re Ram Gorse.

Club Move Committee are working on:

  • Ordering furniture for Presidents’ Lounge and Members Bar.
  • Reviewing requirements for the Terrace, including Bar, Fencing, Furniture.
  • Ordering kitchen equipment, cutlery, crockery and glasses for function suite.
  • Ordering white goods for Bar, Treatment Rooms.
  • Ordering new Scoreboard and Team Shelters.
