Joel only started playing club rugby at the age of 19; first playing at the University of Kent for the 2nd XV team. He was then moved up to the 1st XV team for BUCS rugby, whilst also playing with Canterbury RFC 2nd XV.
Joel made his Harlow 1st XV debut in the 2017/2018 season whilst still playing at university. Since graduating, he has been an active player in the senior squad and is still hopeful of completing his first full season without injury.
Joel plays predominantly on the wing and has, more recently, been providing strength and conditioning coaching to all senior players.
