Warning from Essex CB Discipline Committee

All Clubs in the county have recently received communication from Essex County RFU expressing their serious concern over a large number of issues surrounding touchline behaviour and we are directed by them to bring this to the attention of all players, team management, members and visitors.

Essex County RFU has warned that they will not hesitate to take the strongest possible actions, where appropriate, to ensure the reputation of the sport is maintained. This warning covers all disciplinary issues including (but not limited to) on field foul play, verbal or physical abuse of match officials and unacceptable behaviour of spectators on the touchline

Harlow RUFC fully supports the Constituent Body in this and will not hesitate to take its own actions against those who fail to adhere to both the Club and RFU codes of conduct and values – these actions may well be in addition to any sanctions imposed by Essex County RFU.  For the avoidance of any doubt, the RFU and Essex County RFU have powers to impose indefinite playing bans on players, team officials and spectators, exclude teams from competing in leagues and Cup tournaments and/or deduct league points.

Please help the Club build on its good repute by ensuring discipline is maintained at all times on the pitch and off it.
