As we gear up for VetFest24, the Essex Wooden Spoon men’s team, under the capable captaincy of Harlow Rugby Club’s Ben White, is excited to defend their title and retain the fundraising trophy for the fourth consecutive year!
Harlow Rugby Club is proud to be a partner club to WoodenSpoon and it is wonderful to see more Harlow players being selected to play for Essex. Harlow Rugby Club continues to strengthen the commitment to supporting children in Essex, through fundraising and mixed ability, ensuring that every child has access to the best life opportunities through the power of rugby.
This year, The Essex WoodenSpoon team has already made waves by winning the Team of the Year award at the end of the national season dinner, a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Ben White, who represented the Wooden Spoon British and Irish Lions at Twickenham last season, recently visited a new sensory room at the stadium which was sponsored by the charity, highlighting the impact of the charities efforts on young lives.
Every penny raised during VetFest24 by the Essex squad goes directly back into benefiting children in Essex by funding various projects. The squad appreciate the unwavering support from Harlow Rugby Club and the Essex community. Go well Red Men, represent your club and county with pride.
