Our Women’s section started in the late 1990s and finally achieved RFU women’s league membership in 2003. In 2011 we had progressed into NC1and played there competitively for 6 years. We have played in NC2 since 2017. We have hopes and aspirations of playing back in NC1, together with building a Women’s 2nd XV, and welcome new players, both beginners and experienced, to join our friendly squad.
We are supported by a skilled, committed and enthusiastic coaching team, underpinned by additional support from both the Club Player Development Officer and Club Senior Liaison Coach.
We train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7.15 and play matches on Sunday afternoons.
We hold regular social activities, participate in many Club events, develop long lasting friendships and can also offer a great support network!

We are grassroots, participation-based community club. Whilst we believe the competitive nature of our sport is part of what makes it such a brilliant tool to help develop children and young people, our priority is their development. We take a long-term view and create an environment where players can learn the values that Harlow RUFC is built on: Inclusion, Respect and Community.
Our approach to coaching is underpinned by two key ideas: A player centred focus and learning through games not drills. This will develop their decision making and tactical understanding, creativity and resilience.
The Youth Boys Section of Harlow Rugby Union Football Club recognises the importance and honour of playing their part in the development of young men at the Club. We run Youth teams at every age group from our U13’s right through to U18’s Colts. Each age group is managed and coached by a team of volunteers who are DBS checked and trained to a minimum level of attainment so they can deliver high standards.
To ensure best practice the Club follows the guidance of the RFU, England Rugby, and at these age groups we follow the recommendations for Age Grade Rugby which are given to protect your child whilst he is developing.
Our aim is to develop and deliver Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, and
Sportsmanship whilst of course, having fun. We commit to keep things as affordable as possible, and all training sessions, training events and matchday fees are included in our incredibly affordable Club Membership. If a new starter enjoys their first few sessions with us, they can sign up to our incredibly affordable Club Membership.
Whilst youth training is predominately on a Wednesday evening between 7-9 pm

The RFU Age Grade groups for Youth Girls are currently U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s, and there are vacancies across all age groups for prospective members, for both beginners and experienced players.
The rugby season spans from September to May; we train on Wednesday evenings 7-8.30pm and play matches on Sundays.

In May 2021, Harlow RUFC proudly launched its Mixed Ability Team with the enthusiastic backing of the RFU Family Fund project. Our initiative warmly welcomes players aged 6 to 24, regardless of their ability, offering a unique platform for inclusive rugby. From its inception, the team has been nurtured by dedicated RFU-qualified coaches, ensuring that each session is safe, supportive, and skill-building.
Starting with just 10 passionate players, our team has experienced remarkable growth and now boasts a thriving roster of over 50 members. This expansion reflects our commitment to fostering an environment where everyone can enjoy the sport, make friends, and develop both on and off the field.
The RFU Family Fund’s support has been instrumental in this journey, providing resources and opportunities that have allowed us to create a vibrant, inclusive community. At Harlow RUFC, we believe that rugby is for everyone, and our Mixed Ability Team is a testament to this ethos. Join us and be part of something special!
