It’s been a busy start!
As soon as the final whistle was blown on last season work began on 2025/26.
Competition for places is essential to be successful. It keeps players sharp, boosts training numbers and raises standards. As a result we have made five new additions to the senior squad already:
Zaki Chamnaoui has signed from Sevenoaks. A prop and a former Harlow youth player, Zaki has been plying his trade in the National Leagues for over a decade. His qualities and influence on and off the pitch will be huge for the squad.
Bailey Albert joins us from Bishops Stortford. The mobile and strong ball carrying back row is returning from a season out of the 15 a side game and is raring to go. A big character, sure to be popular at Harlow!
Harry Reynolds joins from Thurrock. Young, athletic and a great finisher, expect to see Harry on the score sheet often this season!
Will Howard, who trained with us last year in pre season is back from back from Australia. An extremely talented all round sportsman who’s skill set is exceptional. Comfortable with ball in hand and with the boot. Will provides a speedy platform for us this season.
Ben Cranwell joins from Chelmsford. The tall second row/back row forward has been a thorn in our side whenever we have come up against him, he will bring an excellent aerial presence to our lineout and fill the void left by Dave Archers departure.
I’ve been delighted with several players who have assisted me in bringing these players to Harlow, it shows how invested they are in this project and how passionately they want to take the club forward. The recruitment will continue throughout the off season to ensure our depth chart of players finds an ideal equilibrium.
Pre Season starts on 1st July and friendlies have been arranged with Cheshunt, Sudbury and Southend before we kick off the league season in September.
Onwards and Upwards.
