Dear Club players, coaches, parents and supporters,
How many times have you been watching a game of rugby and had the following thoughts?
- The referee got that one wrong.
- What’s the referee signalling for there?
- What on earth is going on here? I don’t understand the laws of this mad game!
- Since when has that not been allowed in rugby?!
Perhaps you would like to try your hand at refereeing?! It really is the best way to watch a game of rugby and you get to keep fit, enjoy the best sport in the world and support your club by being involved!
For many years the esteemed Tony Hills has led our team of Sunday referees and he has now passed the whistle to me to continue his good work. We are always looking for more people to referee games at the club, as many or as few as you would like, whatever your level of experience.
You will be supported by other referees and coaches and have the chance to be involved in club tournaments like Tilly’s Tens Tournament and Bully’s 10s events plus more across the year.
If you would like to get involved, email me at referees@harlowrugby.club for more information.
