Following the recent members survey undertaken by the Club in relation to dogs being permitted in the clubhouse, the majority (71%) of those who responded (165) were in favour of this being allowed on a trial basis and, therefore, the Executive has agreed that this be allowed with effect from 1st October 2025. The trial period will run to 30 November 2025 although the Club reserves the right to curtail or extend this trial at any time, as may be deemed necessary. The Club will assess the situation at the end of this trial basis.
The Club does not intend to impose too many rules around this but requests that all dog owners exercise control over their dogs at all times, respect all other Club users and that:-
* Aggressive or disruptive dogs are NOT brought into the premises or those which may become so are removed immediately
* All dogs MUST be kept on a lead and under the control of the owner (16 or over only) at all times
* Dogs will not be permitted when events are being held within the clubhouse
* The final decision on whether a dog can enter or remain in the premises lies with the senior staff member on duty at the time
