We had 11 players for our 7 a side tournament at Datchworth on Sunday, with 5 players making their club debut.
The other teams included Bedford, Bishops Stortford, Dunstable and Cambridge.
The 1st match saw a closely fought game of touch with Bedford and this ended up at 1 try apiece.
The next series of matches saw the girls move on to full contact.
Our next match was against Dunstable which saw Harlow victorious 3 tries to 1.
Match 3 was against local rivals Bishops Stortford. This was an eagerly contested match and once again another Harlow victory again 3 tries to 1.
Now to the final match against Cambridge. This proved a little more tougher for our girls, however Harlow took an early 1 try advantage early on. Unfortunately Cambridge came back with 3 tries and eventually won the match.
A fantastic start for the U14’s especially our debutants. The girls showed great effort and determination on their 1st competitive outing of the season.
We have the makings of a good solid team that’s sure to improve throughout the forthcoming season
