RugbySafe Lead

RugbySafe Lead
We are pleased and delighted to announce that with immediate effect Fleur Blatch has agreed to take up a voluntary role at the club and be our RugbySafe Lead RugbySafe@harlowrugby.club.

Fleur graduated from the University of Bath in 2014 with a degree in Sports Therapy (BSc Hons) and has since completed a four year integrated MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Fleur is a Senior Sports therapist at SV Sports Therapy and currently provides the Clubs 1st XV Men’s squad with match day preparations, pitch side first aid and rehabilitation.

In her role as RugbySafe Lead Fleur will be responsible for the following reporting to the Rugby Committee.

Responsibilities
Complete and record a risk assessment to determine the appropriate level of activity and first aid provision.
Ensure that providers and appointed first aiders are appropriately trained and undertake recertification in accordance with their qualification.
Ensure that the procedures for the recording and reporting of incidents are followed.
Ensure that suitable first aid facilities and equipment are available.
Ensure that there is adequate cover to allow for absences.

We would also like to express our thanks to Brian King otherwise known as Whopper who had previously held this Golden Role. Whopper will still be at the club and I’m delighted to say has dusted down his boots and will once again be providing match day cover and pitch side first aid to the Rams

Congratulations!
